Yamalube 4M meets FC-W Certification
Yamalube 4M Meets FC-W Certification – All Models
As four-stroke engines have been growing in popularity with boaters, they have increased in size and taken on more demanding duty cycles. Despite this fact, four-stroke outboards have been forced to use automotive or automotive derived lubricants due to the lack of a marine standard.
The NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association) has acted on this and developed the FC-W rating. Lubricants meeting this new standard far surpass automotive standards in inhibiting corrosion, foaming and viscosity breakdown, and provides superior lubricity even when diluted with fuel. All these conditions are widely experienced in the marine environment.
Yamalube 4M FC-W motor oil meets the NMMA FC-W rating. Using it will ensure proper lubrication and corrosion protection for your customers’ engines. Avoid lubricants that do not carry the NMMA’s FC-W logo.
Benefits of Yamalube 4M FC-W
- High levels of bearing protection, far more than in automotive oil.
- High resistance to foaming under high speeds, foaming that can break down the oil’s ability to provide lubricity.
- Superior lubrication even when fuel dilution is present. This is particularly important when boating in cold water under low speed trolling conditions.
- Far superior rust and corrosion protection, thanks to additives not available in today’s automotive oils.
- Designed and tested by the marine industry for the marine industry.
For your convenience, Yamalube 4-M FC-W is available for order using the same part numbers as the previous Yamalube 4-M.
