Outboard Engine (2 Stroke) – Service/Tune On Boat
1. Engine
- Check compression and spark
- Replace spark plugs,check wires
- Check link and sync
- Run engine tuner through engine
- Lubricate engine and steering cable
- Test run
- Lube throttle control arm
- Check charging and cooling system
- Check starting safety switch
- Check idle speed
- Check or replace anodes
- Check and fill TNT oil reservoir
- Check oil injection reservoir – fill
- Run salt-away through engine
- Spray engine with corrosion block
- Check trailer lock
- Check battery – charge
2. Lower Unit
- Check gear lube
- Check for water in lubricant
- Pressure and vacuum test gearcase
- Remove prop and check for fish line
- Check shifting
- Lube prop shaft splines
3. Fuel System
- Clean and replace fuel filters
- Check for system leaks and operation
4. Boat
- Grease Steering Cable
- Check boat accessories for operation
- Check for binding in tilt and steering
- Check drain plug
7. Trailer
- Check trailer bearings, lights, tire pressure
- Grease trailer bearings
